Who are you?

As a Staff Engineer at Devleaps, you will play an essential role in delivering cutting-edge Platform Engineering capabilities and accelerating the client’s journey toward Engineering Excellence. You’re responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and productizing platform services and leading a team of Senior Engineers. You will collaborate closely with different cross-functional teams, providing expert guidance and hands-on support to improve the DevEx 📈 of the development teams. Within your work, automating everything is part of your DNA.

What are we looking for:

• Are passionate about talking with developers to understand better how the platform can help them with their challenges.

• like working with open-source (infrastructure) technology and want to contribute to the communities.

• You have a passion for helping developers unlock their full potential.

• Know your way around container technology and the container ecosystem /Live and breathe “modern” technology.

• Have tried automating yourself out of a job at many places.

• Have experience how modern engineering practices (SRE, DORA, SPACE, DevEx, …) accelerate businesses.

• You want to achieve Engineering Excellence, and you are not afraid to challenge the status quo.

To excel in this role:

• 8+ years of experience as a platform engineer, software engineer, infrastructure engineer, or related role.

• Experience with at least one of the major cloud providers.

• Proven experience in delivering engineering solutions and leading technical projects.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.

• A passion for staying updated with the latest engineering trends.

• Previous experience in a consultancy or client-facing role is a plus.

• Leadership experience or the ability to lead and guide cross-functional teams

What will you do?

Every engineer @ Devleaps is working with our customers implementing the best tailor-made DevEx solutions. Except on Fridays! Our team will come together to work on our own awesome (DevEx) products.

In details:

• Lead and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions for our clients (onsite).

• Work closely with client teams to understand their technical needs, requirements, and challenges.

• Provide expert technical advice, guidance, and mentorship to client teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with internal teams to develop best practices, frameworks, and tools to streamline engineering processes.

• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and driving code quality improvement.

• Stay up to date with the latest engineering trends, tools, and methodologies.

• Contribute to the development of technical documentation, training materials, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new engineering talent, promoting a culture of collaboration and learning.

• Speaking at conferences and community meetups

• Working every Friday with the Devleaps team on our product
