Ready to build the next generation of cloud platforms?

Join us at Devleaps and help shape the future of Cloud and Developer Experience. ✨

Job description

At Devleaps, we’re always looking for talented engineers who are passionate about helping organizations get the most out of the cloud. ☁️

We deliver value to our clients by enabling them to adopt modern Cloud and Platform Engineering practices — improving developer productivity, accelerating software delivery, and building resilient, scalable, and secure systems. 🤓

Together with our clients, we explore how Cloud Engineering can empower their teams. We design and build Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs)that create paved roads for developers to focus on delivering customer value autonomously — ultimately improving the Developer Experience (DevEx) of our clients and their teams.

Next to working directly with our clients on cloud and platform projects, we’re also building our own awesome Platform-as-a-Service at Devleaps.

Who are you?

As a Cloud Engineer at Devleaps, you’ll play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing cloud-native solutions for our clients. You’ll work across AWS, Azure, or GCP — architecting infrastructure that’s secure, scalable, and automated from the start.

You’re hands-on, pragmatic, and passionate about enabling developers and organizations to achieve Engineering Excellence. Automating everything is part of your DNA, and you love helping teams leverage the full potential of the cloud.

You’ll collaborate closely with development and platform teams, offering technical expertise, coaching, and hands-on support to improve DevEx 📈 and cloud maturity.

What we’re looking for

  • You’re passionate about cloud architecture, automation, and developer enablement.

  • You love talking with developers to understand how cloud platforms can help them solve real-world challenges.

  • You enjoy working with open-source technologies and contributing back to communities.

  • You know your way around containers, orchestration, and infrastructure automation.

  • You’ve tried to “automate yourself out of a job” — and succeeded. 😉

  • You have hands-on experience with modern engineering practices (SRE, DORA, SPACE, DevEx, etc.) that drive business outcomes.

  • You’re experienced with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP).

  • You’re driven by continuous improvement and unafraid to challenge the status quo.

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, and deliver cloud-native solutions for our clients.

  • Work closely with client teams to understand their needs, guide cloud adoption, and implement best practices.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship, fostering a culture of learning and improvement.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to evolve our best practices, frameworks, and tooling.

  • Participate in code reviews and champion engineering quality.

  • Stay up to date with the latest cloud trends, services, and technologies.

  • Contribute to documentation, training materials, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

  • Help recruit and onboard new talent into the Devleaps family.

  • Speak at conferences and community meetups (if that’s your thing 😉).

  • Spend Fridays with the Devleaps team, working on our own cloud and platform products.

Why Devleaps?

  • Work with forward-thinking companies on cutting-edge cloud and platform projects.

  • Be part of a culture that values learning, sharing, and automation.

  • Balance client impact with time to innovate on our own product.

  • Collaborate with passionate engineers who care deeply about Developer Experience and Engineering Excellence.

Job requirements

To excel in this role

  • 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.

  • Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Proven ability to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure at scale.

  • Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages(Python, Go, Java, TypeScript, etc.).

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).

  • Familiarity with GitOps (ArgoCD, Flux) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI).

  • Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, OpenTelemetry).

  • Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.

  • Experience in a consultancy or client-facing environment is a plus.

  • Leadership or mentoring experience is a plus.
